I work hard for a living, and spend free time at my hobby, graphics design, with a focus on digital paintings and comic lineart coloring.
I enjoy reading and one novel follows another, and then if I'm researching a topic a glut of material follows. I follow Stephen King, his son Joe Hill, Whitley Strieber, Brad Meltzer, Stephen Donaldson, and so many others!
My music tastes are just as eclectic, but mostly classic rock. I've seen more RUSH concerts than any other band, but have seen Heart, Little River Band, The Eagles, U2, Jethro Tull, Supertramp, Pink Floyd without Roger Waters (Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour), I've seen Roger Waters (not as good as Gilmore's Floyd), Godsmack, Staind, Mighty,Mighty Bosstones, man too many to remember...

...Day 44

Once again, distractions unfocused any work.  I've got to work on my self control, stop worrying about what others think or say for the moment, and get this thing done.

Comic Book Project Day 43

Sooooo many distractions.  Nothing accomplished today.  Played with the comicspace page, corresponded with some John Byrne fans, but got no color work accomplished.

Comic book project Day ?

I'm sorry I've been neglecting this page.  I signed up with comicspace.com to post better quality images of my art.  Page 6 is complete, and page 7 wil be up today.  With the completion of P. 8, we'll be on the back side of this story.  With Page 7, the stage is set, all characters introduced, and heading towards the same location as Iron Fist faces off to the death with Steel Serpent. The second half of this story is an 8 page kung fu battle, and should go quicker than the previous pages, for the backgrounds are simple.  It's set in the woods, and I may cheat with some digi-cam worked into the backgrounds.

My Comic Book Project Day 24

I finished page 5, Yay!
Anyway, since the cover was done on April 20th, it's been 34 days to do 5 pages.  I have to throw out 10 days for weather woes.  I won't work with a thunderstorm warning.  I've bailed 1200 gallons of water from my basement this Spring, so it's been eventful.  Also a 'day' ends up about 6-8 hours of time between interuptions.  So, rationalizing my way thru this self assigned project for 192 hours work I've re-inked and colored 5 pages, so it takes 16-20 hours to do a page from start to finish.
Got to start page 6.

MTU #63 P.5

A page a week?  No.  More rain, more water in the basement.  I need a studio.  Need to finish this later. I'm done for today.

My Comic Book Project Day 15

I missed my midnight deadline, to post a days efforts.  I finished the background stuff, will model figures and add black inks to finish this tomorrow and start P. 5.
As a sidebar to applaud the intertactivity of Heroes, I received a call at 8:42 E.S.T. from Nathan Petrelli via Primatech Paper Co.  Very cool voice recorded message by Pasdar.
